FAVELAS
Eddy Waeldo is a new gipsy prodigy playing the jazz guitar. In this first album, the 14 years old boy plays with the experienced Nice Trio (Jean-Marc Jafet, Jean-Paul Ceccarelli and Robert Persi) a gipsy-american jazz a la Babik Reinhardt (Django's son, who died 2 years ago). Eddy learned to play the guitar listening to jazz music, especially to Babik Reinhardt, Bireli Lagrene, Sylvain Luc and also Oscar Peterson and the great Toots Thielemans - who accepted to record a tune on this album !
