Enregistré en 2008 pour le label Ames, le disque «?Brothers?» réunit pour la première fois les deux frères Didier et Francis Lockwood, figures incontournables du jazz français depuis plus de 30 ans. Une alchimie parfaite s’opère entre le piano de Francis et le violon de Didier, seuls instruments présents sur ce disque. En résulte, une plongée intime et délicate dans un univers conjointement dessiné, qui par-delà le talent, la complicité et la connivence, est façonné par la fraternité.

Didier and Francis Lockwood have been unavoidable figures on the French jazz scene for thirty years, but the “Brothers” album they recorded for the Ames label in 2008 featured them together for the first time. Francis Lockwood’s piano and the violin of his brother Didier function together in perfect alchemy here, the only instruments present on the recording. The result is an intimate, delicate dive into a universe of their own design where their talents, complicity and connivance are shaped by the closeness of their relation as brothers.
