 « Burt Bacharach songs have literally been soundtracks to my life, sometimes not even knowing they were his compositions.

 Each one strikes a chord in my, and people’s hearts. Always with a seemingly poppish-easiness, there is every time a rhythmical and/or harmonic twist that is so beautifully done that they are receivable by all.

 Singing Bacharach songs is a blessing.

 It gives such a wonderful opportunity to reach down deep in my soul and explore every musical sense and sensibility.

 Choosing the repertoire was really the most difficult thing for how do you narrow down to just a few songs when each one has something touching and interesting ? Those melodies... !

 It was my love and admiration for this great composer that lead me to pay homage to his music. It was only natural to record one of his songs (Alfie) on my album « The Longest Mile ».

 I now pursue my Burt Bacharach « path » with this choice of songs, all re-arranged by Olivier Hutman. We both share the love of this wonderful composer and wanted to pay homage to his music. So looking forward to sharing it with you all… »
